Ace Hood, straight out of Robert County, Florida, is the first to make it out so he reps his hood. He gives back to his hood by doing local charities and fund raisers'
Before he got signed his routine was waking up, grabbing a fresh T from the corner store, meeting up with his people, and going hard in the studio from 5pm til 5am. A "want" to do better for his mother and life kept him grindin. He first met Dj Khalid outside of 99 jams, he dropped a couple bars at the birthday bash and Khalid called him back the same day. Since then it's been a consistent grind. Ace gives all thanks to AD and four-fifth for keeping him right with music and out of trouble.
Right now Ace is back with DollazNDealz (a start-up label that showed him love early), but Khalid, Ross, and everybody still family "We The Best, for life", he says its unity that keeps Florida on top, and it shows Ace Hood took it back to the block cause he wants to have the streets on lock, and be remembered.
Talking to Ace, he shouted out alot of people. Coming up he listened to Soulja Slim, Weezy, Trick Daddy, and Jeezy; Ace also looks to JT Money as a legend. When asked if he thinks he made it he said "I ain't made it til I can leave the game, comeback after a couple of years and still be on top, like Jay-Z. The Blueprint 3 is phenomenal with crazy concepts". Also he notes that Dj's make the game, without a Dj nothing moves an that's 100.
right now Ace is working on an album but afterwards he is gonna flood the street with mix-tapes, lookout for Street Certified coming soon.
